Q. Can we sell our food/produce at the festival?
A. As the event grows we strive to keep a very high quality of vendors at the event and are always keen on discovering and showcasing new great local produce. Please get in touch by sending us an email to find out more.
Q. Where is the camping?
A. The camping area is adjacent to the Festival site - within walking distance.
Q. What time can people with tents or caravans arrive?
A. For those arriving with tents or camper/caravans, you will be allowed access to Somerley Camping Areas between the following times:- Friday 25th August: from 5.00pm - 8.30pm Saturday 26th August: from 10.00am -7.30pm The gates to the Beer Festival open at 6pm on Friday and 12 noon on Saturday. We kindly ask all those who arrive before this time to stay within the designated camping areas. On Sunday please vacate the park by 12 noon and ensure you take all belongings and rubbish with you.
Q. Are children welcome?
A. The festival welcomes well-behaved children, provided that they are accompanied by their parents or guardians at all times. Please note we do not have a crèche or other supervised areas for children. The Estate can not accept any responsibility for any injuries sustained at the Festival and it is therefore paramount that all children are supervised at all times and any children found to be unsupervised, or misbehaving will be asked to leave the festival along with their parents or guardians. If camping, children must not be left alone or unattended in the campsite and must be accompanied at all time by a suitable adult. Please note that we will not tolerate the sale of alcohol to (or consumption of alcohol by) persons under 18 years of age. Acceptable forms of identification for those who are 18 or over (but are fortunate enough to look younger), are a valid Passport, current Driving License (with photo ID) or a 'PASS accredited proof-of-age card' with the 'Pass' Hologram
Q. Are pets welcome?
A. No pets of any kind shall be allowed into the Walled Garden or onto the Estate- with the exception of certified guide dogs. If pets are found, you will be asked to take them home. Please be aware that tickets will not be refunded. Somerley takes no responsibility for any pets left in any vehicle, tent or caravan/campervan.
Q. Can I use a credit card at the event?
A. You will be able to purchase tokens for all beverages sold at the bar. Cash will be required for our food and retail stalls. Please be aware that we are not able to offer cash back.
Q. Are tickets refundable?
A. All tickets purchased prior to the event are non refundable, unless the event is cancelled due to unforeseen reasons.
Q. Can I bring my own alcohol to the event?
A. Under no circumstances may alcohol be brought onto the Somerley Estate. Alcohol is not permitted outside The Walled Garden.
Q. Can I bring a picnic?
A. We are not allowing food to be brought into the Walled Garden. There will be a number of food outlets inside which will be open throughout the day.
Q. Why is there a fee for booking tickets online
A. The fee which is on top of the ticket price is a fee that is charged by Eventbrite for using their online ticket system. This is the equivalent of a credit card charge made payable on a purchase.
Q. Are last years' beer tokens still valid?
A. All drinks sold behind the bar are to be purchased using Somerley Beer Tokens. New tokens are created each year, therefore rendering all previous years invalid. Please be aware that unused beer tokens are non-refundable.
Q. Can tickets be bought on the day at the gate?
A. Yes, admission to the Festival on both Friday night (£10 per adult) and Saturday (£15 per adult) can be purchased on the gate. However, you will save money if you purchase your tickets in advance, online. Please see our Buy Tickets Tab. All camping pitches (tent and caravan) will need to be booked in advance using the online ticketing facility.
Q. Is there caravan chemical toilet disposal facilities available?
A. Yes there are. There is access to a septic tank which is located adjacent to the campsite and will be shown on the site plan in due course.
Q. What time does the Festival start?
A. The Festival kicks off at 6pm - 11pm on Friday 25th August for Friday night and weekend admission tickets only. The main day of the Festival is Saturday 26th August. Entry starts from 12 noon - 12 midnight. Sunday 27th August sees a leisurely breakfast and pack down from 8am - 12noon. Limited Festival Admission tickets are available on the gate for both Friday and Saturday but we strongly suggest to purchase tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. All camping pitches need to be booked in advance please.
Q. Can I bring a BBQ or light a fire at the campsite?
A. Due to H&S, we are not allowing any campers (including caravans) to light fires or have BBQs but camping stoves are welcome.
Q. Is there a bus service?
A. A shuttle bus service will be running from Ringwood Long Stay Car Park to the Walled Garden on Saturday 26th August only (first bus leaves Ringwood at 12.00 noon and last bus leaves Somerley at 00.30am). Fares are £1 each way (babies and toddlers travel free of charge). Please be aware that we do not have a bus service running on Friday 25th August.
Q. What entrances / exits do I use?
A. For Festival-goers and tent campers arriving by car - please use either the Nea Drive entrance or Ellingham entrance. Please exit at either Sheppard's Hill or towards Ibsley. For caravan campers, please use the Nea Drive entrance only (due to a narrow bridge at the Ellingham entrance). And exit towards Ibsley. Please follow the signs and directions given by our Parking Wardens. Please advise Taxis to enter the Estate at Ellingham and Exit and Nea Drive.
